What............

So I woke up with the best of intentions today. But those didn't come through. My kids have apparently vowed to drive me nuts today. Yeah, I am irritated. But I have pushed through it. I love them to death but they drive me nuts. But the girls and I painted toes, did a little make up and took some pics. I fixed Bretts hair and got a few pics of him. Need to make some lunch but really don't want to. Need to go to the store but don't really want to do that either. I just feel like its a shway shway kinda day. Insha' Allah I will get something else done today. :)

Spending time with the kids.....

With all the insanity going on around us, I am enjoying getting to spend time with the kids. I love that I can show them movies that I grew up with and they get into it. We are currently watching Labyrinth and the kids are all into it.

On a side note...I did a reading test on the older two and Alexis is reading at a 6.2 grade level and Brett is reading at a 1.6 grade level. YAY!

Bad day...

It was a bad day today. I found out at the end of the day that I may be losing 2 of my students. Their fathers want to transfer them to another school. Not only was I crying but so was all of my other students.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Well, it's been 28 years since the day I was born.     It's strange to think of myself as this old.  It's hard to imagine that this much of my life has passed.  As today started I began thinking about my life.  Silly, I know, I am only 28.  But I couldn't help it.  I began to think about all the years of life experience I have put under my belt.  Of all the happy times, sad times, victories, losses, love, and heartache.  Added on to all of this I thought of all my hopes and dreams I have had over the span of my lifetime thus far.  All I could think about today is so far have I lived my life to potential?  Have I achieved anything in my life?  If I were called out what could I show that I have done with my life.  Soo here it is...lets take a look.

My Dreams:
Graduating HS-Completed
Get a scholorship (or 2)- Completed
Graduate from college-Completed (and first in my family on my Mom's side!)
Become a teacher-Completed
Get married-Completed
Have kids-Completed
Have a house-Completed
Travel-Semi Completed
Have a job I love-Semi Completed
Make a difference in the lives of my students- Semi Completed

Learn to play an instrument
Own some horses
Own some land & Build my dream home
Have a good relationship with my dad (don't think this will ever happen)
Go to Disney World (I have never been)
Travel and see all 50 states
Take a Cruise
Have my dream wedding (we eloped)
Finally get a honeymoon
Have my kids in extra-curricular activities
Help my kids become amazing people
Watch my kids graduate from HS
Watch them graduate from college
Enjoy my kids weddings
Be there to see my grandchildren born
Retire early and enjoy life

So almost a 3rd of my life has wiled away and about a third of my dreams have been achieved.  Not that bad.

Just a quick start...

Classes start in a few minutes and I need to run off some papers but just thought I would make my first post.  Welcome to the ramblings of ....well me.  :)  Wife, Mother, Teacher...pretty much everything in between too.  :)
